Useful iOS 11 Features for Product Managers

With another September comes another major iOS release. And this release includes some useful tools for product managers using iDevices. Here are some that I’ll be using. Note: I’m not an iPad user, so even though there a bunch of iPad-specific updates in iOS 11, they won’t be a part of my daily workflow.

Screen Recording

When working on bug tickets or writing specifications, I find myself occasionally recording my screen to highlight an issue or workflow. I’ve always recording these on my laptop, but as of today, buried in the new Control Center customization settings is a new screen recording function. Once you’ve added it to your Control Center, you’re ready to go.

When you tap the record icon, you see a 3-second countdown allowing you time to get to the screen you want to record.

Also, you can tap and hold the button to see microphone options.
